I decided to do a spring as this project because, its a challenge and also its a really eye pleasing shape. I like to put myself to challenge because, I feel like I grow as an artist and also I expand my skill! I really like how this turned out, the light changes really made the picture and just made it realistic. At first I started with a rectangle to keep the shape proportionate but, I went out of the box so many times I just ended up erasing it and free-handing it. The biggest challenge I had was honestly the shadow at first but, then when I got help from Mr. Varney I was able to get it right. Also, as you can notice in the picture below there is a lot more space around the spring than in the drawing. That is because I crop the picture..well I folded the paper to make a smaller image and more things going on with it than space. Once I used the eraser to bring out the highlights it made it look more realistic. I think this was a really cool project because, its put me to higher level in my work, and honestly I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I hope we do more projects like this one the blacks, whites, and greys always turn out good! :)
